Designer Focus: Weiz Dhurm Franklyn

With the holiday season before us, it’s time to start gathering inspiration on your next night out glam. So, as the number of social events reach an all time peak towards the end of the year, what better way to stay memorable each night than by stepping out in something from an upcoming designer?

The beauty of discovering up and coming designers is that it has yet to hit the radar of all the mainstream fashion edits, giving you the advantage of owning a collectible and being unique in trend. Besides, the last thing you need is to step out in the same outfit as another party guest!

One evening designer to look out for is Wisdom Anaba, the man behind the evening wear label, Weiz Dhurm Franklyn, presented at the 5th Annual Lagos Fashion & Design Week. The philosophy behind Weiz Dhurm Franklyn centres around craftsmanship, trims, embroidery and volumes of texturized fabrics. The Weiz Dhurm Franklyn label is a force to be reckoned with in the African fashion community. Anaba enjoys experimenting with the boundaries of fashion through contrasting elements of tradition and modernity, femininity and masculinity, strength and weakness, death and life; he is a meticulous designer who highlights the importance of detailing by creating trajectory pattern pieces that accentuates the figures of all shapes and sizes . The craftsmanship of Wisdom Anaba speaks for itself; it is with no question that Weiz Dhurm Franklyn will be amongst those headlining the couture aspect of African fashion.

So ladies after solidifying your social calendar,  don’t forget to check out Weiz Dhurm Franklyn for your next event.
