  1. Weight Loss

Losing weight is not easy. Consuming the right foods in order to lose and maintain weight is often very difficult. Bananas are one of those foods that can aid in weight loss. One banana a day contains around ninety calories, which you can burn off quite easily. Also, this sweet fruit does not contain any unhealthy fats which add weight on, so an overweight person can easily be filled with this delicious ripe fruit. Furthermore, the roughage will suppress hunger by inhibiting the release of the hunger hormone ghrelin. This hunger hormone keeps a person healthy; at the same time allowing them to reduce weight naturally. So, to help your body lose that unwanted weight, add one banana a day to your diet. You can eat banana on its own or in a fruit salad. Moreover, you can make a banana smoothie or even add it on yogurt as a topping. There is so much you can do with one banana in order to lose weight. The options are endless, but the choice is yours.

  1. Weight Gain

Along with weight loss, bananas can help you gain weight if you are underweight or want to add a few pounds on your body. When consumed with milk, bananas help to increase your weight rapidly. Milk provides the necessary proteins and bananas provide the necessary sugars in order for you to add weight on. Also, as bananas are easily digested, a weak person can eat around five to six bananas a day apart from regular meals without having to suffer from indigestion. This is around five hundred to six hundred calories which is important for weight gain.

  1. Constipation

No one wants to suffer from constipation do they? Are you constantly constipated and don’t know how to stop it? Bananas are your answer! Bananas contain many amounts of dietary fibre; therefore they help with your bowel movements. Bananas push out stubborn stools, which then relieve you from constipation. So, next time your bowel movements are being difficult, eat a banana to regulate your toilet matters.

  1. Great For Your Eyes

Eye health is very important. As bananas are packed full of many antioxidant compounds and cartenoids, along with a mixture of minerals; they are great for your eye health. Cataracts, macular degeneration, night blindness and glaucoma have all been shown to decrease by adding bananas to your diet. Eat at least one banana a day to help strengthen your eyes and keep them healthy.

  1. Relief From Menstrual Pain

Is it that time of the month again where you just want to crawl under the duvet or eat vast amounts of chocolate to get rid of the pain? Research has shown that cooked banana flowers aid in providing relief from your monthly pains and excessive bleeding during your menstrual cycle. Next time you are going though that awful time of the month, cook a banana flower to ease your aches and pains. You can find many methods and recipes on the internet on how to prepare this food if you have never done it before! Don’t suffer from these pains; relieve yourself by using this one simple trick!

  1. Treat Anaemia

Did you know that bananas contain high iron content that aid in treating anaemia? This is because iron is an essential part of red blood cells, which is why anaemia occurs in the first place. So, low blood cell count is due to the lack of iron. Anaemia also has copper content which is a vital part of the creation of red blood cells. By increasing red blood count, not only can you prevent anaemia, but you can also increase circulation to all parts of the body, thereby oxygenating parts of your organs by optimizing their functionality. So, add banana to your diet to tackle that anaemia!

  1. Help Build Stronger Bones

Bananas are one of those foods that will guarantee you having stronger and healthier bones in your life. This is due to the fact that bananas contain fructooligosaccharide, which is a prebiotic and probiotic beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract that boosts the intake of minerals and nutrients in the body. Specifically, bananas are linked to increased absorption of calcium. Many bananas possess short-chain fatty acids, which then increase their ability to absorb minerals, such as calcium. Calcium is the most vital element in the production and re-growth of bone matter in the body, which then reduces the chances of osteoporosis and natural weakness that is most commonly linked with ageing.
